As a 30 year member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church I have served in the choir, as Children’s Chaplain, on the finance and trust committees, as a member and chair of our governing board, and by cooking a mean brisket for potlucks.
My father died when I was 12 years old, and I missed his presence in the formative years. I made a promise to him and to Him that I would always be present in the lives of my children should I be so blessed. I met Carol in the late 1970’s, and we began our family almost 40 years ago and together we raised three strong children to love and serve the Lord and their neighbors, guiding them into responsible and productive adulthood. They are now raising their own families to know and love and serve God.
Over the decades, I have donated my God given time, talents, and treasure to create and work with ministries to support our less fortunate brothers and sisters, work with Scouts, form a charter school, build Habitat for Humanity homes, and work for Conservative candidates; among other worthwhile things.
Lubbock County Court at Law two has jurisdiction over civil cases up to $250,000; divorce, child custody, and juvenile matters; probate and guardianship; landlord-tenant and Justice Court appeals; condemnation proceedings; and misdemeanors. I am have served clients for over three decades in each and every area of the law that the Judge of a County Court at Law two may hear. This will not be a matter of “on the job training” when I take the bench.
SERVING LUBBOCK COUNTY
I have been called to offer my servant’s heart and Conservative, Christian, and Constitutional values to the people of Lubbock County as a whole. Know that when I swear on the Bible to preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution and laws of the United States and Texas, that Book will be my guide.
